Indian Gaming Regulatory Commission has had a total of two years to prepare a regulation for the amendment.

“During this time we have been studying and reviewing various aspects to consider including regulatory environment, existing industry norms etc. But we did not have time to implement the rules, because of our ongoing work for the government to complete the legislative process, including amendments,” a senior government official told Business Standard today.

On the implementation of the new gambling laws, a senior government official told Business Standard, “The government’s efforts to expedite the implementation of the law have resulted in implementation schedule being increased from one year영천출장안마 from February 2013 to one year from March 2017. The implementation also continues as per the orders of the Lok Sabha. The government has set aside an additional Rs 936.71 crore to complete the full implementation of the new rules.”
